The bonnet hinge set is universally designed to fit all hoods of Land Rover Defenders up to and including 2016 production. This set is ready to mount on your Defender!

The assembly of the bolts is done from the bottomside, so no water remains on it. This extends the life span of the bonnet and the hinges. It also makes it look neat and modern.

Optionally, a FerroForcia bolt set (MSB-002) and filer plate set (MSF-002) can be purchased.

Packing / mounting list

The combination of high-quality aluminium, hard anodized layer and special coating ensure that weather circumstances have barely effect on the hinges. No more rust involved. The hinge has a black look and is nicely finished. Due to the material treatments, the hinges do not need to be varnished anymore. They are ready for assembly.

The hinge is well thought out and a neat design has been chosen. Everything for the quality and the eye. The hinge is not rugged, but has soft gradients and lines for a sleek, subtle look.

The original bolts can’t be used. We consciously chose for a different mounting to expand the lifespan of the hinges. The assembly of the bolts is done from the bottomside, so no water remains on it.

Our bolt set (MSB-002) is optionally available.

Filler plates can optionally be used to protect the paint on the bonnet and for a better sealing. We definitely recommend this! A FerroForcia filler plate set (MSF-002) is seperately available.

Our hinge sets are excluding bolts, nuts, revets and shims for mounting. These are though seperately available. What do you need?

6x M5 allen screws
6x M5 self-locking nut
6x M5 ring

The original bolts can’t be used, as a different mounting system has been chosen. All M5 screws with a maximum length of 12mm can be used. A FerroForcia bolt set is also seperately available (MSB-002).

For improved sealing and protection of the paint we also have a filler plate set available (MSF-002).

The hinges contain a grease nipple and internal channels in the hinge pin to get the maintenance grease in the right places. This allows the entire inside of the hinge, every corner and hole, to be greased. This ensures a longer lifespan for the hinge.

A grease syringe can be clicked onto the nipple to grease the hinge. In this way you prevent ‘dirty’ stripes over your door after maintenance, since the grease is not applied from the outside of the hinge.

The grease nipple has a conical wire, so it’s mounted solid to the aluminium part of the hinge.

Do you not like the grease nipple? No problem. Just make sure to mount the grease nipple once so you can grease the hinge. You can replace the grease nippel after greasing with the blind cap.

The ready-to-mount bonnet hinges are laser marked with our logo at the bottomside for recognition, as well as for tracability of production.
